Bellamy Mansion Museum Provides Online Site Tours and Resources for Educators and Parents

 

The Bellamy Mansion Museum has added distant learning resources and an online tour of the Bellamy Museum on its website located at https://www.bellamymansion.org/distance-learning.html. As of today, guests can access a 30-minute virtual tour of the house museum and a video of the Slave Quarters. Educators and parents can download activity sheets for children. In the next few days, online lectures and more resources will be added. 

The museum closed to the public on Tuesday, March 17 for the safety of the staff, volunteers, guests and the wider community. The museum staff will assess the situation on March 29 and put out more information about the closure.


The following museum events have been postponed due to the closure:


EVENT: Bellamy Neighborhood Yard Sale – March 28
ART EXHIBIT: Outer Limits – March 25 to May, reception March 27
LECTURE: Wilmington’s Lie – April 14
EVENT: Family Fun Day – April 19

New dates are to be determined. Please check the Bellamy Museum website www.bellamymansion.org or the museum’s Facebook for updates. Staff is available through email, if needed.

The Bellamy Museum, located at 503 Market Street in Wilmington, is a non-profit educational institution dedicated to interpreting the social and architectural history of the site and promoting a greater understanding of historic preservation, architectural history and restoration methods in North Carolina.
