If you’re looking for a hip, unassuming little haven to enjoy some local brews, sip a glass of wine or two, and just hang out with a laid-back, yet colorful crowd – Fermental Beer & Wine is the place to be.

This beloved, cozy shack is home to one of the largest selections of beer in the area, and they certainly have a notable selection of over 500 wines, as well.  Originally built in the 1920’s and surviving many incarnations, this little cottage was relocated from its original site and has found a resting spot at its current address on Market Street.

Take a tour through this former residence and you’ll witness that every twist and turn holds a stockpile of beer, either in cans or bomber bottles. For the oenophile, there is a room dedicated to wine, found on racks and lining the walls.

This casual environment begs patrons to cozy up on the couches or hang out around the interior’s intimate bar.  A few charcuterie items like salami and cheese are housed in a small cooler and available for purchase.  The overall vibe is very relaxed and family-friendly.  The outside seating area is scattered with picnic tables and several outdoor games which entertain accompanying children or adults channeling their inner child.

Thursday through Saturday, as the sun cools, the atmosphere heats up with live music and food trucks on hand to offer their fare to weekend revelers. The evenings brighten up with strings of lights and tiki torches adding a certain warmth and congeniality to the festive atmosphere already in swing. Friday afternoons welcome free wine and beer tastings.

Fermental Beer & Wine is the ultimate hangout when you’re looking for no-frills and a cool place to chill.  It makes a great locale for a first-date, a meet-up with co-workers, or a setting to enjoy time with friends and family.
