The Children’s Museum of Wilmington to Hold Annual YachtVenture Fundraiser

On Saturday, October 12th, from 5 to 9 p.m., The Children’s Museum of Wilmington (CMoW) will hold its largest fundraising event of the year at Bradley Creek Marina.

For one evening, the Museum will bring together some of the finest boats in the area for guests to explore, including three yachts measuring 60 feet or more and one 1930 Elco. Stroll the docks, wine and dine, and imagine yourself cruising up and down the Intracoastal Waterway. It is the perfect coastal showcase of everything that makes Wilmington and its surrounding area special.

Dinner will be provided by Sawmill Catering Company and the event will have an open bar. Music will be provided by local music talent Rob Ronner. Guests can enjoy bidding on exclusive items in the silent auction and one lucky raffle winner will have their choice between three luxury vacation packages.

All proceeds support CMoW’s mission to provide a welcoming and engaging environment that promotes hands-on art, science, and literacy-focused learning for all children and their families. For more details and to purchase tickets, please visit ww.YachtVenture.org.

“YachtVenture is one of the Museum’s most exciting events of the year,” said CMoW Director of Development Heather Sellgren. “Some of the Museum’s biggest supporters gather to enjoy this one-of-a-kind event set amongst the backdrop of beautiful Bradley Creek. Guests enjoy being outdoors, exploring the incredible boats, savoring a good meal, all for the benefit of the children in the greater Wilmington area. We encourage friends who may not have attended this event in the past to come and enjoy YachtVenture 2020!”
