Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Wilmington

This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. Participants will complete a 2-mile walk. The funds raised support the care, support and research programs of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Registration/Check-in: 9 a.m.
Opening Ceremony: 10 a.m.
Walk: 10:30 a.m.
Closing Ceremony: 11:30 a.m.

Parking and handicap accessible parking is available at Wrightsville Beach Park.

Sandra McClammy with COAST 97.3 will serve as emcee for the day’s festivities. The day will include fun, all-ages entertainment and family-friendly music. On Walk day, participants will honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease with Promise Flowers during the poignant Promise Garden Ceremony – a moving display of hope to represent the personal reasons participants join together to fight Alzheimer’s. Participants can join a team or register to walk as an individual at alz.org/walk.
