With the holiday season full of romance and proposals, we asked Wilmington wedding photographers to share some of their favorite wedding photographs and tell us what made them special.
The happy, smiling couple are Sarah and Uriah, photographed by Ethan Gaskill. “I loved working with this couple because of their laid-back nature and effortless approach to a day that can be insanely stressful,” says Ethan. “Sarah and Uriah were very adamant about how fun and enjoyable they wanted their day to be. The wedding was a unique mixture of outdoor charm (Greenfield Lake Gardens, Wilmington) with urban downtown elements (the reception was at Palate). They had everything you could ever dream of – happy guests, amazing food and drinks, live music and an entire team of locals that helped make the incredible day happen!”
These photographs by Ethan Gaskill, were taken during a bridal session with bride, Camber Sasser. The beautiful moody light and dramatic window of the Brooklyn Arts Center, created an enchanting series of photographs.
Ashley and Clay Morgan, were married in the Fall, at the Atrium in downtown Wilmington. “I just love this photo because they had a somewhat stressful start to the day, missing a few key details of decor they had planned for their reception,” says photographer Allison Eding of Lightbloom Photography. “This photo was taken just after the ceremony so we were able to sneak away and have a moment with just us. Ashley literally jumped into Clay’s arms and I could see the stress melt away – they were so happy to just be married finally!”
Jasmine and Harrison were married at the Atrium, but this photograph was taken as part of a stylized shoot for Courtyards and Cobblestones. with photographer Susie Linquist at The City Club. The designer and planner was Heather Healy with Port City Event Planners, makeup was by Tess Wheatly and hairstyling by Melissa Kinnamon.
